Brittany Kraus is a doctoral candidate in English at Dalhousie University (Nova Scotia) where she was awarded the Clare Murray Fooshee Poetry Prize and the Joseph Howe Poetry Prize. In 2014, her story "Murmurs" was awarded the Budge Wilson Short Story Prize by the Writers Federation of Nova Scotia. The same year, she was a finalist for The Malahat Review Far Horizons Award.
