Billie Chernicoff was born in Detroit and educated at Bard College. Among her books and chapbooks of poetry are THE RED DRESS (Dr. Cicero Books 2015), The Pleasures (Metambesen 2014), and most recently, Amoretti (Lunar Chandelier Collective Press 2020). For several years she co-edited The Doris, a magazine of new writing and translation, and in 2021 she published a print journal called Salt. She lives between the Catskill Creek and the Hudson River in upstate New York.
