Shale-waves stroke the crops usurped
by get-your-goat carbonate strivers,
but a recessive disposish is revenge
enough: dangle captains from clouds
as glacial scythes half-pipe thighs,
mow moraines, then loaf on a smoke.

Goat squads lope on buzzed meadows.
Spring slough forgot their fungal hind-
roost. The young run hobbled by youth,
bookended by hoodoo-horned patrollers
up our switchback buffet, all within
the compass of a CPR-TransCan rood,
worshipped by the unbending grass.
