Jose Hernandez Diaz is the author of The Fire Eater (Texas Review Press, 2020), a chapbook of prose poems. In 2017, he was awarded an NEA Poetry Fellowship. His work appears in Poetry, The Nation, The American Poetry Review, Boulevard, Kenyon Review, Cincinnati Review, Georgia Review, Iowa Review, and several other journals. He edits for Frontier Poetry and Palette Poetry, and has taught with Litro Media and Sevilla Writers House. He lives in California.
