Emily Vey Duke was born and raised in Nova Scotia.  Her art has been in the Whitney Museum, Walker Center, The Renaissance Society, Institute of Contemporary Art Philadelphia, New York Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and many other venues. A book about her work, The Beauty is Relentless, was published by Coach House Books in 2012. The Illuminations Project, a book of her writing in collaboration with artist Shary Boyle, was published by Oakville Galleries in 2016. She teaches at Syracuse University.
