Maryann Corbett is a poet, medievalist  and linguist. She grew up in Virginia and holds a Ph.D in English from the University of Minnesota. In Code is her fifth book of poetry (Able Muse Press, forthcoming 2020). She has been nominated several times for a Pushcart Prize, and won the Lyric Memorial Prize in 2008, the Willis Barnstone Translation Prize in 2009, and the Richard Wilbur Book Award in 2014. She is the translator of several poems and lyrics in Latin, French, Old English, and Old Occitan. She lives in Minnesota.
