Oana Avasilichioaei has written six books of poetry and poetry hybrids, including Eight Track (Talonbooks, 2019), Limbinal (Talonbooks, 2015), and We, Beasts (Wolsak & Wynn, 2012), which won the A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry. Some of her recent performance/sound works are OPERATOR and EIGHT OVER TWO. She has translated nine books of poetry and prose from French and Romanian, including Catherine Lalonde’s The Faerie Devouring (Book*hug 2018, awarded the Cole Foundation Prize for Translation through the Quebec Writers' Federation), and Bertrand Laverdure's Readopolis (awarded the Governor General's Award for French to English translation). She lives in Montréal.
