Janet Singleton is a Chicago-born journalist and novelist. She was educated at the University of Wisconsin, and for several years attended the summer writing workshops at Bennington College. She is the winner of two Society of Professional Journalism Awards and a National Writers Association First Place accolade. Her debut novel This Side of the Sky (Penguin Putnam, 2004) won the Colorado Book Award, the Aurora Colorado’s Book of the Year, and was a Barnes & Noble “Discover Great New Writers” selection. She lives in Colorado.
